Shalke Gummels Born in Holland, she spent most of her time collecting stones, her passion. Travelling the world as a model for 14 years allowed her to nourish her passion and gain in knowledge as well as inspiration. Now a mother of two, a complementary therapist, she also runs her business as a jewellery designer. All her pieces are hand made using semi precious stones, silver and gold filled materials. Mixing technique, funkiness, healing properties and the powerful simplicity of Nature makes her jewellery unique. The "feather", Shalke's trademark reminds her that inspiration comes from above and deep within.

Sam and Andy Sam and Andy met backstage at a fashion show when one was the only straight male stylist in the business and the other thought he was gay...that was 10 years ago, they have been married for 6 years and now live at the seaside. Andy first came across Gurkees when he bought some for his holidays. Spookily, after wearing them and loving them for about 3 months, he saw the UK distribution was for sale. Gurkees are hand made in Mexico, the manufacturing process involves heat welding polypropolene extra soft rope(similar fibres to carpets), put together (no glue, no stitching). They are flexible, durable, shock absorbing, lightweight, saltwater and chlorine resistant, machine washable, environmentally friendly and probably the most comfortable things you will ever wear on your feet.
